She was a thrifty woman who never threw anything away that she thought she could use again or fix. Her work was well known and she enjoyed showing off her works of art at local shows and exhibits. She was also an accomplished knitter, and rug hooker – skills she was happy to share with others. Myrtle was an incredibly talented quilter – designing and hand stitching many, many quilts.
